We've been separating our unlimited and Factory matches on Friday nights. In July, we will combine them both on Friday July 3rd, due to me being out of town after that weekend. Please, if you wish to shoot that Friday night, let me know because we are limited to 20 shooters, and the first 20 that reserve a spot will get one. Thank you

I have posted the match schedule for 2026. Unless severe and unexpected circumstances occur (as they sometimes do) we will adhere to the schedule posted. We've had a few people ask to separate the factory and unlimited events. I can arrange that for the Friday events reasonably easily, but to run events on two Sundays a month strains my schedule beyond the point where I can make that happen. There are a couple of months that I've had to combine the unlimited and Factory class matches on a Friday due to scheduling conflicts other events. I'm sorry to have to do this, but we've never increased our prices since we started running matches. Given the situation in the economic world these last few years, we need to increase our match fee. The fee will increase by $5 for each match for 2026. It will now be $20 for a 3 card match, $25 for a 4 card match, and $35 for a 6 card match. Juniors will continue to shoot without a match fee. I regret having to do that, but costs are up for everything any more. I hope to see you at some of our matches this year, and I hope to be able to get out to more other venues as well. On that page, I'm attempting to announce upcoming matches, range closings, specials, and anything out of the ordinary that people might be interested in knowing. We run ARA matches twice a month during the gentler months, usually March through October. It's generally, although not set in stone, that we will have our matches on the 2nd Sunday of the month and the Friday following. This occasionally may change due to Holidays or other commitments. Our Sunday matches start at 9am. Our Friday afternoon matches start at 5 PM. While we have had an occasional delay in start time, we generally start the first timer within 5 minutes of the posted time. A couple of things to be aware of. We have 12 benches. It's best to bring your own chair or stool, although we generally are able to help if you forget. We normally don't need to run more than one relay, we're a relatively small group out here in this area. On Fridays, we are NOT able to run 2 relays due to our inability to control the sun. Those who contact me to let me know they will be here on Friday will get first priority for bench space. Walkins are welcome, but on a space available basis. Now for the more random trivia. We tend to get mostly factory shooters here. For a while, we did get a few unlimited, but there aren't a whole lot of points to go after when there are only 2 or 3 in your class. Our wind is inconsistent. I know that everyone claims that the wind is worst on their home range, but we get few perfect scores here. Never been a perfect unlimited score, and fewer than 10 factory 2500's here. Scores do suffer here for many people. We tend to be laid back and mostly friendly. We have a range of shooters from a wide range of ages. Many of our shooters have come to appreciate the sedentary nature of benchrest shooting as opposed to action styles as we've aged, but we also have a good range of youth shooters up through the entire gamut. We don't charge entry fees for the youth shooters; we try to encourage parents to get their youngsters involved.
